Deconstructed Bruschetta Salad
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
– 5 medium heirloom tomatoes, thick slices
– 1 medium size crispy baguette
– 4 cloves of garlic, quartered (or minced)
-1 cup of roughly chopped basil
– 1/4 cup olive oil
-1/4 cup balsamic glaze
– Salt & pepper
– Red pepper flakes (optional for a little kick!)
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
Toss the tomatoes and garlic in olive oil, salt & pepper. Put on a baking sheet and place in the oven until soft. (About 15 minutes)
Once the tomatoes and garlic and cooked and smell delicious, take them out of the oven and transfer them to a large serving plate.
To the plate, arrange the large chunks of bread and basil through out the tomatoes. Drizzle with the balsamic glaze and add a little more salt and pepper!
