For all us health nuts, vending machines could be just about the worst “snack” imaginable. Well Farmer’s Fridge to the rescue! Imagine that same vending machine, but a million times cuter and filled with fresh organic meals! Every morning, the Farmer’s Fridge team makes everything from scratch and have it ready by 5am to be delivered to their kiosks by 10am.
Farmer’s Fridge is dedicated to using as many local and organic ingredients as possible. The main component to keeping those colorful ingredients fresh is their packaging. Farmer’s Fridge designed easy to travel with containers that are BPA free and have chosen the most recyclable plastics in the market. From my experience their salads last up to three days in the fridge!
Their jars span from everything from salads to breakfast and snacks. These are some of my favorites:
ALMOND BUTTER OATMEAL (a.k.a. The Nutty Monkey) –Oatmeal (gluten-free oats, almond milk, maple syrup, lemon juice, salt), almond butter, banana, toasted coconut, cacao nibs.
SOUTHWEST SALAD (a.k.a. Bravo, Avocado) Romaine, black beans, grape tomato, fire-roasted corn, avocado, pickled onion, queso fresco, pepitas & avocado-lime dressing. (Pictured)
So where do I find these amazing Kiosks? Well unfortunately they are only in the Chicago area, but continually growing! The Farmer’s Fridge website is really helpful to be able to find the neighborhoods and specific locations they are in.
